Latest treasures

Here I'll try & keep you up-to-date with the latest pieces of genealogical info I have added to the blog.

* Free access in Armistice week 2010 - to Ancestry's military records.

* Census 2011 - on March 27th.

*Arriving soon - interesting little tidbits from the Probate Registry (via Ancestry, pay-per-view or use a local library) on the wills and estates of some of the Hallworths in Bedfordshire. Also a further piece of the jigsaw puzzle that was Charles Hallworth's estate.

***June 2010 - although, is it December??  Feels like Christmas has come early, here!  Barbara has been very kind in passing on a huge number of fascinating documents from the Archives in Bedford (BLARS).  They have been very interesting, and you can view them on the following Hallworth pages, amongst others. Dog & Badger, Philip's estate, Maulden Mill.

*May 2010 - I had so much new material to add to the Hallworth pages that I had to rewrite almost every post (great deal of really old history, going back even as far as 1750!)  Begin to read the whole story from the Hallworth Beginnings, here. Please excuse any teething problems, let me know if you find a problem & I can sort it out over the coming weeks.  (Old links will fail for a wee while.)

*March 2010 - Following a new availability (for me) to the database on BMD certificates in England from 1916 (previously I've relied on FreeBMD, which runs out in about 1925)... I've found many pieces of info about when folk have died - although many of them have yet to be proved/confirmed. {various pages}

More to come!
